Who can apply?
Anyone can apply for Recognition of Prior Learning including people working in kitchens who have a vast amount of experience but no formal qualifications.
You may have partially completed an apprenticeship, have overseas qualifications, or have built up your skills and knowledge through a less formal process or simply have valid experience and built up your skills and knowledge on the job.
How you obtained the skills and knowledge is not the important point, we can assess you against the criteria and if you are graded as competent in all required subjects then we may issue you the appropriate qualification.
If you are assessed as competent in some of the subjects required and not yet competent in some of the other subjects required for a particular qualification then you are issued with a 'Statement of Attainment' in only the subjects that you have been graded as competent. You will then need to undertake further study, coaching or experience in order to gain the necessary skills and knowledge in the required subjects before a re-assessment in those subjects and if successful, issue of the appropriate qualification.
How does it work?
Simply fill out the RPL application and contact us on 1300 880 460 or +61 3 8616 0681.
