21538VIC Emergency Life Support  (Level 1)



The purpose of this unit is to provide participants with theoretical knowledge and practical ability to provide appropriate first aid response to an emergency situation requiring emergency life support, including first aid resuscitation techniques.

 

Duration: 6 - 7 hours

Cost: $100

Our First Aid training is available to the general public.

The courses are aligned with relevant National standards and State legislation.

Syllabus

Outcome 1: Identify and describe the aims of first aid and the   role of the workplace first aider
Outcome 2: Identify and describe the basic principles for managing an emergency situation
Outcome 3: Provide effective first aid care and management of the unconcious victim
Outcome 4: Apply effective first aid treatment for the choking/FBAO victim
Outcome 5: Apply effective cardiopulminary resuscitation (CPR)
Outcome 6: Apply effective treatment for the management and control of external bleeding
Outcome 7: Apply effective management of victim in shock
