The Certificate IV in Security and Risk Management provides vocational education and training needed to work as a senior supervisor or manager in the security industry. It also provides additional skills towards specialised security services/operations.

What Skills will I have when I complete this course?

This certificate further develops security officers working as supervisors or team leaders skills in leadership, monitoring and controlling security incidents.

What opportunities for further studies will I have?

Certificate IV in Security and Risk Management students may continue their studies in the Diploma of Security Management.

How will I be selected for this course?

Students must have work experience in a supervisor/team leader or management role.  Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)/Current Competencies (RCC) is the primary form of assessment.

What costs and other fees should I expect?

• Course fees are $2500 
• Assessment only fee is $1500
• Additional training fees may apply where competency cannot be demonstrated in an assessment only application.  Please contact us for further information.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed to show that you have achieved the skills and knowledge required by the course. Assessment may include written, oral or practical assessment methods. You will know in advance about the type of assessment and the how it will operate. There is the opportunity for reassessment and appeal and you will be given this information.
