Productivity Places Program

As part of its Skilling Australia for the future initiative, the government recognises the importance of nationally endorsed training in assisting job seekers to acquire skills and gain lasting employment and assisting existing workers to update or upgrade their skills.

The government has allocated 450,000 training places over four years to ensure that Australians develop the skills that industry needs. The training places will be delivered in an industry-driven system, ensuring that training is more responsive to the needs of enterprises and individuals.  The training places will be available from 1 April 2008.

Of the total training places, 175,000 will be allocated to job seekers.

The Certificate III in Security Operations is a funded qualification.

If you are looking for work, the Australian Government will fully fund training under the Program.

To be eligible for a training place, you need to be currently looking for work. You also need to be an Australian citizen or a permanent resident of Australia and be over the age of 15. Some other eligibility

criteria apply, this is available from your local training organisation or employment service provider.

You also need to be assessed by your employment service provider or training organisation as having capacity to benefit from the training.

Why are PSG Australia's fees so low?

As a security provider, PSG Australia understands that many new entrants to the security industry cannot afford to pay $1000 in training and security licence fees.  To help people find work and to support our local community, the company subsides the cost of training by offering heavily discounted programs from time to time.
