What employment opportunities will I have?
Victoria Police's Licensing Services Division require a person providing the services of other persons to carry on one or more of the following activities to be licensed:
- acting as an investigator;
- acting as a bodyguard;
- acting as a crowd controller; and/or
- acting as a security guard

This certificate further develops security officers skills in leadership, monitoring and controlling security incidents.
What opportunities for further studies will I have?
Certificate IV in Security and Risk Management students may continue their studies in the Diploma of Security Management.
How will I be selected for this course?
Students must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in English and possess sound computer skills.

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed to show that you have achieved the skills and knowledge required by the course. Assessment may include written, oral or practical assessment methods. You will know in advance about the type of assessment and the how it will operate. There is the opportunity for reassessment and appeal and you will be given this information.
